The open concept of this A-frame cabin with a cozy loft is super inviting for families and friends to gather. The layout allows for the perfect space for separate activities as well, since the main floor includes a bedroom and loft, and the lower floor has 2 more bedrooms with a second living room and fireplace. Sitting on the huge balcony you are surrounded by gorgeous tall trees and feel as if you are in a treehouse! You'll enjoy the privacy of the secluded 3 acres of rainforest. The best of both worlds! The Treetop Cottage is perfect for a mountain escape in a temperate rain forest, but also for lake access from the community dock just a few minutes down the road. The house sits on over 3 acres of land so you are not super close to other houses. Three levels allow for a couple families to share the house, but still have privacy when they need it. Guests have complete access to the whole property. We live about an hour and a half away from the property, but we'll be on call for questions or in case help is needed. It's a quick drive down to the community dock and water access where you can kayak, canoe, swim, or just hang out in the picnic area. Only 7 minutes away is the Pine Creek public beach area where the kids can play in the sand and safely swim. You can easily paddle over to the nearby island to relax there and even have a fire at one of the firepits. This area is full of gorgeous waterfalls to walk or hike to. A beautiful 20 minute drive will land you in Cashiers, where there are loads of excellent restaurants, adorable shops, and other places to explore. There is no shortage of wonderful ways to spend a relaxing vacation in and around the Treetop Cottage!
