Answers to frequently asked questions:
1. The waterslide is typically only in use from late Spring until mid September
2. If it is blocked on the calendar, then it is booked. You can join the wait list.
3. Yes, we provide towels and bedding. The closets are filled with towels and fresh linens are folded at the foot of each bed for your use.
4. We do not furnish propane for the BBQ. You are welcome to what is there (the gas not the tank, please don't take the tank) but you should bring your own or plan to fill up a tank.
5. There is no garbage service at the house.
6. The lake is scheduled to be full between Memorial and Labor Day.
7. Internet bookings must purchase insurance.

I do not know why VRBO recalculates rates and places these annual averages on all of their associated websites but if you are here because the listing company's click bait has made you think you can rent a 7 bedroom waterfront house for $600/night in the middle of summer then I am sorry. Don't yell at us, we didn't list it that way. The rates are below.
Weddings, Church Functions, Corporate Retreats, Board Meetings, Girls Weekends, Reunions, AND MORE!!!! All of these have been hosted at this property. However, we strictly limit the occupancy to the number in your contract. Reckless guests and poor stewards of the lake are not welcome.
Please read the entire description. Please don't write to negotiate, our prices are firm. The price of this house reflects the amenities and privacy offered along with the legitimate sleeping capacity of the property.
This is one of the biggest homes on Lake Tulloch and is certainly the most recognized home on the water. Boasting the vest views on the lake, privacy, enough space to realistically sleep 25, two boat docks, three PWC ports, and a beautiful new log cabin look, this fun and amazing property sits, by itself, outside of any homeowners association which are notoriously famous for ruining many a family's vacation. Did we mention that this house has a functioning water slide during the summer months? Not the little kind that goes in to a small pool- we are talking the real thing. You will not find a house for rent like this on the lake.
We now offer year round rentals of this property which is ideal for large group lodging for Yosemite trips, wedding parties, Murphys wine tasting, group ski/snowboard trips, and multiple family vacations. We have hosted numerous corporate retreats at this house both for recreation and meetings/team building.
This property is all by itself, not in Poker Flat, and has its own electric security gate.
Please note that perspective summer guests are HIGHLY SCREENED. The summer is mostly repeat business from the last five years and after having a couple of jerks over that time, we only want responsible tenants who are good stewards of the property and the lake to be our tenants. Having managed several vacation rentals on this lake, and elsewhere, and having, literally, served thousands of guests, we have heard all the angles and seen most of the scams. If you are the type that leaves mess and garbage without expecting to be billed a service fee to remove it then this is not the place for you. If you are they type that agrees to rent a place planning to renegotiate the rate after you check in and use threats of dishonest feedback unless you are paid off then this is not the place for you. We offer a good house with a lot of sleeping for the money and feel we are more than fair with the price.
You can park three boats; two in the concrete boat dock slips and one on the outside. There are three watercraft ports that will accommodate large runabouts. There is quite a bit of room to swim there. This is in open water but behind 5mph buoys so you have the best of both worlds.
The kitchen is full of new tile, attractive pine cabinets, stone counter-tops, new appliances, and is situated so people sitting at the built in dining table can all have a lake view.
There is a lot of room at this house. The game room has its own entrance so those people who like to play pool and shuffleboard into the late hours can be distanced from guests who like to turn I early.

About this house:
This house came into our custody in 2011. This home was the personal home of the first developer of Lake Tulloch.
The history of this home is wild. It is full of Indy Car drivers, screenwriters, multiplatinum musicians, tech executives, actors, and every walk of life in between. If the walls could talk, they would pass on some amazing stories.
The current operators can talk, and if you ever want to give of an hour of your life that you will never get back, bring a beer on a day we are up there and we will vent about some of the experiences we have had since owning this home. These experiences include everything from defending our tenants' rights to enjoy Lake Tulloch without having to shell out six figures to buy property to having to repair our sewer line that was broken by construction on a neighboring parcel. We have gone through quite a bit to keep this rental open and available to the many families that pull together and enjoy a few days in a house large enough to accommodate everyone without having an abusive density on the lake.

Here is where we would like you to pay extra close attention. This house is an eight bedroom house and is a big home. This does not mean that it can be stuffed full of an inappropriate amount of people. We provide an environment that houses a reasonable amount of people per bedroom and that is the capacity. We take good care of the lake and care about our neighbors and the quality of the environment at Tulloch- we expect the same from our tenants. If you are looking for a house to have wild parties, to overload it with people, and to be a nuisance on the water then please look elsewhere- this is not the situation for you. We welcome families and groups who want to be able to stay together at the lake because they appreciate the rare environment and amenities offered here.
The house is not new although we have refurbished a good portion of it. Some parts of the house are dated and have wear. You wont find these views, privacy, or space anywhere on the lake and we feel we offer exceptional value in this house- if you are in doubt if this house is for you then please try to tour it. The house is rural, internet sucks sometimes, the AC goes out sometimes (especially when you leave it set too low and on all day and night with all the doors open), sometimes lightbulbs go out (especially if you leave them on 24/7). These things happen sometimes. You might have to change a lightbulb if it goes out and we don't rebate it if you do. We don't provide charcoal or bbq propane. There is no lifeguard on duty. Cellphone reception is awful. Leaves and pine needles drop. Critters visit.
Ok, now that the tangent is over, here are some other things to know:
The lake is full between the two three day weekends of the summer. Then, in the off season, it drops an average of 9 feet. You can still powerboat during the off season and the docks on this property are still easily accessible. Usually, every five years, they drop the lake quite a bit more over the winter. The water czars are actively bringing the lake up to the 2018 peak level.
You are about an hour and 20 minutes to the gate of Yosemite from this house. It is a charming drive and you will like staying here for Yosemite visits and all of your Gold Country visits. Murphys is about 30 minutes away. Dodge Ridge and Bear Valley Ski Resorts are each about an hour away. This property is about two hours from Sacramento or the Greater Bay Area.
Rates
The rates are not negotiable. I know a whole bunch of you want to rent 3 nights in July and want a discount but the fact is that this cannot be accommodated. Folks, the house sleeps 25; if you can find another private waterfront compound with two docks, a waterslide, eight bedrooms, seven baths, and this kind of parking for less than $50 per person per night then I suggest you book it because we cannot deliver lodging costs at Motel 6 rates. Military families, seniors, church groups, Eagle Scouts who saved drowning kittens, I love you all and will be happy to put my paper money in your jars but have just been burned too many times on the special circumstances discount and will no longer offer them.
Holiday Rate Increases: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day are subject to a $500 upcharge. So are Memorial Day and Labor Day if seven nights are not booked
