Positive: We really liked the villa itself: the grounds are beautiful, the pool is excellent, the location was convenient for us, and the kitchen has everything you need. It is a pleasant place with a nice atmosphere. However, two sleepless nights affected our stay. We have never experienced anything like this before! On one of the nights, both the electricity and water suddenly went out. We were left in unbearable heat with no working air conditioning and without access to basic necessities such as using the toilet or even washing our hands. On top of that, with the refrigerator not working, all our food would soon have started to spoil. We understand that electricity outages are not the owners’ responsibility and are beyond their control. However, we were very disappointed with the way the manager handled the situation. We were told that, since he was away, there was nothing he could do and that we should simply wait until morning and hope that the problem would resolve itself. He refused to contact the relevant services and offered no other solution. But in extreme heat and with no water, simply waiting was not an option. We eventually decided to look for another place to stay for the night. Only after we had packed our essential belongings and were about to leave, the electricity finally came back. It was an extremely unpleasant experience, and we feel this situation was not handled appropriately. The manager should be more attentive and proactive when dealing with problems occurring at the property. The other night was also ruined because the neighbors were shouting and playing loud music throughout the night, from midnight until 7 a.m. The manager apologized afterwards, which we appreciate, but we had not slept at all and were completely exhausted for the entire following day.
Negative: Two nights were ruined. The pool could also be cleaned more frequently than twice a week, as a lot of dead insects accumulate in it within just two days. It would also be helpful if the rubbish were collected regularly, or if there were a proper bin/container provided outside. During our almost two-week stay, a large amount of rubbish built up and was not collected.
