This home will host up to 12 adults/kids. The count includes infants/kids, and any "visitors" even if they don't sleep over. There are three proper bedrooms and the largest (king) is divided in half with a curtain to add a fourth sleeping space (queen).

This is full Oceanfront yet at a price-point families can afford -- and still amazing, squeaky clean, and homey. Yes it is a unicorn! Close your eyes and hear the sound of seagulls, the ocean breeze and laughter of friends and family enjoying this amazing home.
Enjoy unobstructed views from Santa Cruz to Monterey from the all-glass sunroom lounging on recliners and sipping your favorite beverage. Watch for whales, dolphins and otters and enjoy fiery orange sunsets. Enjoy dining on the back deck, or walk the short distance to the beach stairs and enjoy miles of unobstructed sand from Pelican Point to the south, all the way past Aptos to the north.
Did we mention you can drive up to the home directly and park in a 2-car garage? Garage storage means you get beach stuff to use! No need to navigate the Pajaro Dunes boardwalks to stay in this home, which also sits a very short walk from pickleball, tennis, basketball and volleyball courts. In every way, the location and setup of this home are ideal for family travelers.
The living room, dining room and kitchen all face the ocean with full ocean views. Look for whales and dolphins! The three-sided river rock fireplace is charming and cozy. A back deck runs the length of the home, and an ocean view sunroom allows for beach watching while fully indoors. The sunroom makes this home particularly great for grandparents who want to watch little ones enjoy the beach but not walk down. Most of the home is on one level, with just three steps separating the living room area from the 'bedroom wing.'
This home sleeps up to 12 adults/kids on comfortable beds, in the following configuration. Note this is a three-bedroom home with the largest bedroom "split" in half with a curtain to allow both a king bed and a queen bed sharing a room.
(1) Primary: king bed and en suite bathroom, some ocean view (sleeps 2);
(1A) Sitting Room: adjoins master (separated by a curtain not wall), has queen mattress, sink, and ocean view (sleeps 2);
(2) Second en suite bedroom: king bed and bathroom (sleeps 2);
(3) Hall bedroom: a queen bed, plus a set of twin bunks, plus a loft with a double futon platform bed (sleeps 6), share hall bathroom
The sleeping arrangements are flexible such that the primary bedroom and adjoining sitting room can be a 'family' bedroom using the queen pull-out couch. They are separated by a curtain. Or, the hall bedroom can also be a 'family' bedroom as it has a queen bed plus a set of twin bunks, plus a double futon mattress in a cool loft that kids love.
The separation between the bedroom wing and the gathering rooms in this home provides excellent privacy when needed for contemplation, alone time or a peaceful midday nap.
The large, updated kitchen can accommodate multiple chefs to create amazing feasts for your group. A wall oven plus a microwave and stovetop, two sinks, and all the pots, pans, plates, cutlery, glassware and cook's tools you could want. (There is also easy and fast delivery from nearby Watsonville, choose from Chinese or Pizza!) A new Weber propane BBQ is right outside the kitchen on a deck sheltered from ocean breezes where outdoor furniture allows you to relax and eat outside (we provide propane plus a spare). An extra fridge in the garage is a great resource for storing ice, food and drinks for your group's entire stay.
House 46 also offers dedicated wifi for surfing, working or streaming, plus flat-screen TVs, Comcast cable channels, and Blu-Ray DVD players. It also has beach supplies, toys and games for kids, and an extensive book and DVD lending library. We have a high chair and pak n play for the little ones, along with step stools in every bathroom.
WIFI is FAST in the whole house! >500 Mbps at router with extender pods throughout the home. 5 sets of desks and chairs in bedrooms plus the dining table and breakfast bar... lots of options!
Because only those occupying Pajaro Dunes accommodations can enter the community, the state park beach at Pajaro Dunes is quiet and you may have it all to yourself much of the time. Activities abound in Pajaro Dunes, including surfing, tennis, basketball, sand volleyball, shuffleboard, birding, and shelling (all inside the community).
Pajaro Dunes itself is a private, gated community directly on the dunes of Monterey Bay.
It is also a quick and easy drive to Santa Cruz, Monterey, the Monterey Aquarium, Carmel, the redwoods of the Forest of Nisene Marks in Aptos, berry picking, Gilroy garlic festival and Gilroy outlet shopping. Fishing and whale watching excursions can be booked out of nearby Moss Landing, which is also the closest surf break (although plenty of people surf and boogie board at Pajaro Dunes).

We do not host events or gatherings beyond the person maximum (all adults/kids included). Any guests renting multiple homes should NOT plan on renting this house, it does not participate in multiple home situations where a group spreads out into different homes.
