Summary: This hotel was a gem of a find. Just off the motorway at the central Carlisle junction. Nice countryside setting, with outside seating, lovely for a summers night overnight stay. Nice dinner menu, food was excellent, 2 course special offer. Bonus that their monthly quiz night was on, we didn’t win but it was a nice extra to start the evening. Breakfast included next morning, was extremely good value and cooked to order. The lady at breakfast (which may have been the owner, sorry didn’t catch her name), was very friendly and was genuinely interested in our stay/onward journey - we were the couple heading to Carfest at Silverstone 😀. Will definitely stay here again if looking for an overnight stopover/explore the area and would definitely recommend.
