Positive: We booked The Gladstone purely because it is dog and budget friendly and near to where we needed to be the next day but we were so impressed with the welcome, the room, decor throughout, cleanliness and amazing view across to Anglesey and Puffin Island. The major road and railway between the pub and the sea are far enough away not to spoil the view or create much noise. Ample parking, seafront is about a 15 minute walk or 2 minute drive. Obviously it's a pub, you expect some noise, and yes you could hear the louder sounds from the bar - in our room at the front at least - guessing an early night on live music nights might be a bit pointless - the website states which nights those are - but otherwise it was pretty peaceful overall. One thing - When we booked we got a couple of messages about the room not having its own toilet - it did though - as did another I checked when the cleaner was at work. Bit weird. We and especially our little dog were made to feel very welcome and felt very much at home in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We had a lovely nights sleep, a big, beautifully decorated room with a large, modern en suite and a decent breakfast.

Summary: Welcoming, relaxed, clean and comfortable and SO dog friendly !
