Summary: Overall, the accommodation was lovely – not five-star luxury that we’d expected for the price, but we had a lovely trip away. Fridge is very noisy which resulted in a restless sleep on both nights. There was noise from the neighbouring room - you can clearly hear talking from there. No details provided on COVID precautions anywhere in the room. Initially there wasn’t anything to recognise we’re staying for our honeymoon - despite mentioning this on our booking. When we mentioned this on the check-in survey we came back to a congratulations card and a bottle of bubbly which was appreciated. The apartment was Very clean and well appointed. Bed is comfy but could do with different pillow options. Grounds are very impressive and lovely setting right on the Glamorgan coastline. Suggestions for improvement include: 1. Different pillow options, especially as the bed is so firm with the memory foam mattress 2. Better information pack - some of the content was out of date, including the WiFi, key safe box. It would’ve been helpful to have things like taxi numbers, menus from the local pub, or recommendations on the local area. There was some information in the book but it wasn’t exhaustive. Whilst I understand that it is self-contained accommodation, providing more than just a pint of milk on check-in would be reasonable, especially for the cost paid for the accommodation. How about some simple breakfast items, or just some local biscuits to have with a cuppa.
