Summary: We stayed at Hotel Sumengen in 1993 and on return to Istanbul in 2026 wanted to go back. We were not disappointed. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. The hotel is charming and spotlessly clean. The breakfast has an extensive selection of authentic Turkish foods and the breakfast room has a sea view. The location is still as characterful as we remember it, although there are now more restaurants and small supermarkets. We will stay at Sumengen again next time we visit. Thanks Joe, Can, and the rest of the team!
