The Boulder House is the perfect four season Vermont getaway for families or couples looking to relax, explore and enjoy all that Southern Vermont has to offer. Let the kids settle into the game room for some old school packman, foosball or a movie while the “Big Kids” head to the second level for some rest and relaxation in the large family / dining room and enjoy stunning year round views of Lake Whitingham.
ENTRY LEVEL / FIRST FLOOR:
A large heated mudroom right off the driveway (Get out of the car and step right in the door....No need to lug your gear through tough terrain or the elements!) with plenty of room for the whole family to drop their equipment take off their boots and settle into the home.
Kids of all ages can head right into a large shiplap pine game room with a refrigerator, stand-up video game (pac-man and others), fooseball table, smart TV, futon, comfy chairs and enjoy some fresh popcorn.
Full bathroom and laundry utility room with washer and dryer are also convienently located on this first level.
Second Floor: Master Bedroom (1 king-size bed) with full closet, smart TV and private access to the office / nursery for someone looking to slip in a litte work or take a nap.
Full bathroom, Living room, recently renovated Kitchen with all new stainles steel appliances, Large expandable oak dining room table for the entire family, smart TV, large leather couch and love seat, wood stove/fireplace, double sliding glass doors to wrap-around porch with dramatic 4 season lake views.
Third Floor: A Second large open Master Bedroom with 1 new king bed and a full size day bed and 20 foot ceilings, skylight, ceiling fan and a small third story deck with bistro seating where you can enjoy your morning coffe. A back bedroom includes 2 twin beds and a day bed with a cool view of the boulders out back from which the house got it’s name. A full bathroom is also on the third floor.
The primary entry is under the deck adjacent to the driveway which is convenient when it's snowing or raining. There is a smart lock and guests wil be provide a unique code upon their day of arrival.
PARKING: Gravel driveway (4 vehicles). NOTE: 4-wheel/AWD is recommended in the winter months to access the property and surrounding areas. The road is private and maintained but can get snowy, icy, and muddy (it’s Vermont). Be aware that on snowy days and early spring mud season it can be tough to make it up without all wheel drive and snow tires.
