Summary: For the most part, the house was as advertised. Highlights included the hot tub and shuffleboard table. However, 2 major problems made the experience something of a disappointment: 1) Despite being advertised as having 3 bathrooms, there were only 2 available to us during our stay. (There was a locked door in the basement, which we suspect is where the 3rd bathroom was.) One of the 2 is an en suite in the main bedroom, so effectively, there was one bathroom (located upstairs) available to everyone who wasn't staying in the main bedroom. 2) The kitchen was really gross, and not particularly usable without a lot of work on our part. Most of the plates/glasses/mugs had gunk all over them (probably from going in the dishwasher dirty?), which meant that we first had to clean anything we wanted to use before we could use it. In addition to the dish issues, many of the kitchen cabinets/drawers were sticky on the outside. Also, though the stovetop had 4 burners, only 2 were usable. One didn't have a dial, and another had a dial that wouldn't turn. The kitchen was pretty poorly stocked with essentials (there were no oven mitts or kitchen towels, and only a mostly-empty roll of paper towel). Finally, only one of the power outlets seemed to work. It was not the one that the coffee maker was placed next to, so we had to figure out if any of them actually worked before we could make coffee. Keeping in mind that we were effectively charged for a 3rd night (approx. 75% of the nightly rate) in the name of a "cleaning fee," this was quite disappointing.
