Come and enjoy a relaxing and unique home away from home @ Salty Tides on Fraser. Explore the wonder of the world's largest sand island, Fraser Island (K, gari). We would love to welcome you to our little home on the island. The house is a comfortable 2 level,2 x Queen bedrooms, one with treetop deck and 2 single beds loft, kitchen, outdoor BBQ area, one toilet and shower, 2 Sofa beds, Smart tv, Lg fridge freezer, chest freezer, washer. The home is within 200m of the beach, restaurant, cafe, and shop.

Some things you need to know about the island beach homes,
Salty Tides is located approx. 30km from the barge at Inskip Point or if you are traveling from Hervey Bay, we are at the second valley at Eurong about 200m south of the main Eurong entrance. When arrived at the second valley we are on Anderson Street and the third house was on the right.
Arrival time is 2 PM and departure time is 10 am.
Please no earlier arrives or late departures
There is a security box next to the front door on a post. The main key will open the front door on the deck. The second key will be the shed out the back for the freezer, please return the keys to the box when departing. House sleeps a maximum of 6 People.
The house is run on solar with a generator backup and is self-starting and shutting down.
Please do not plug in any items such as hair dryers, car fridges, ice machines, toasters, or basically anything with a heating element. These items will shut down the system and there will be a 120-dollar for call-out fee for power overload. Phone charges and medical aids are fine to plug in.
We have ample fridge/ freezer space and a tucker box freezer (bait freezer in the shed.)
Please bring your own linen.

We have pillows and blankets. Just bring your slips to put over the pillows and quilts.
We have ample cutlery, wine glasses, mugs, and all cooking appliances, so no need to bring any up.
There is a freestanding gas oven, as there is no electric kettle or toaster
so there is a stovetop kettle, you can make your morning toast under the grill. Please make sure the gas knobs are turned off after use. There are lighters next to the stove hanging.
Please bring all toiletries including toilet paper. We do have some at the house but we ask everyone to keep the collection going.
I have some basic pantry items, Flour, salt pepper, sauces, and sugar coffee please feel free to use them.
In the bottom drawer in the kitchen, there is al-foil, cling wrap, zip lock bags, first aid kit for you to use.
There are cleaning products supplied under the kitchen sink. Also, there is a broom, mop, bucket, stick vacuum, and a stick mop please rinse and wash out the mop pad and hang it on the back deck after use.
Fraser is a remote and isolated island even though it's close to the mainland, please read up on what the island has regarding services and the do and don'ts of the island. Food, drinks, ice, and fuel can be purchased at the shops in each main township on the island, Eurong being the closest to the house approx 4 mins driving from Salty tides. Supply can be limited and higher priced than on the mainland. Most of the shops sell very basic medication and first aid supplies, so we remind everyone to stock up before coming to the island. The house has a small first aid kit in the bottom drawer for you to use if needed. The is an ambulance station at Happy valley and a police station at Eurong for emergencies. Below I will place a list of emergency services.
Please leave the house in a clean condition Please take all rubbish with you, there are 60-liter bin on the back deck, a 30-liter bin in the kitchen, and a small toilet there are garbage bags in the bottom drawer of the kitchen we can be used if you forget yours. You can take your rubbish for free to bins provided about 5km south just off the beach or Eurong refuses station or the bins on rainbow beach road on the way home. Remember Salty Tides is in a dingo-safe fence area, but there is still ample wildlife that will quickly make a mess of rubbish. This includes our local goannas and birds.

Mobile phone reception is available with Telstra on the island but if you are anything like me it’s the first thing to get turned off when I hit the barge. There is a smart tv at Salty tides that can be used with a personal hotspot. Netflix and other streaming services are provided free of charge if using please use the salty tides user
We have a BBQ which is self-started once you turn on the gas and press the temperature buttons, gas is supplied.

We do not charge a cleaning fee or a cleaning bond please help us keep our accommodation prices down, by returning the house to a clean condition.
