Off grid with solar power and natural spring water, Fig Tree apartment is comfortably furnished and is the perfect location for taking a step back from the stresses and strains of urban living without the distraction of TV and mobile phones. Chill out, recharge your batteries, get up into the mountains, explore quaint villages set in beautifully dramatic landscapes, taste authentic Spanish life and culture or simply soak up the weather with a good book.

The apartment is situated above our finca (farmhouse) & being professional musicians, we enjoy the contrast, have no TV, preferring to listen to the nightingales, owls, frogs, crickets.....
The accommodation offers a double bedroom and a light, airy open plan kitchen/living area with exposed beams & log burning stove. The living area opens out onto a large, private south facing terrace with fantastic views. Previous guests have described the location as 'a little piece of heaven'.
As well as our 2 friendly dogs, parrots & chickens, the house is surrounded by nature: wild flowers, hollyoaks, pine trees and a variety of low bushes. The only deciduous trees are our almonds and figs, making the area very green all year round. We also have grape vines, various herbs, nisperos & carobs.
Several walks can start directly from the doorstep of your accommodation, and many more are available in the countryside around. You can Google further information on certain walks and Costa Blanca walking groups in the area.
Natural wonders of the area include the striking pink and white almond blossom (Jan/Feb), cherry & orange blossom scent, abundant wild flowers and butterflies, eagles, bee-eaters, nightingales (common in spring/summer & singing during the nights of May/June) and much, much more.
Two kilometres from the apartment, in this area called Pla de Petracos, there are ancient cave paintings. Caves at the archaeological site have a viewing platform, and the paintings are explained on six interpretive panels.
