Summary: Reasonably priced, nice pools, but quite basic and not 4 star in my opinion. Basic rooms that are tired with smelly and basic bathrooms. Sunloungets by the pool are old plastic loungers and uncomfortable. Strange rules like you cannot wear sunglasses in the pool unless you have bands around your head to keep them in place. Never experienced this anywhere in the world. Lifeguards enforce this rule, I guess for safety, yet you allow guests to have glassware at the side of the pool? People drinking beer out of glass mugs. Crazy! Service at pool bar was poor. 25 minutes to get a hot dog, and then the drinks machine wasn’t working. Also, they advertise a gym but it doesn’t open until 6pm!? What!? Ridiculous. Most people workout on a morning so this is a stupid rule and as such meant I could not use the gym. False advertising. I would not go back, instead I’d probably go to the main PortAventura hotel which I think is much better and worth the extra money.
