Summary: We have been coming to Venice for many years, and Pensione Wildner is always our go-to hotel. The location is fantastic—right on the Grand Canal and just a short walk from St. Mark’s Square. The rooms are comfortable and have that wonderful traditional Venetian style and character that we love. One of my favorite things is opening the windows, looking out over the canal, and hearing all the activity of Venice below. The rooms also have air conditioning, which is a nice plus. The staff is warm, friendly, and welcoming, and the attached restaurant is wonderful. The food is very good, and it’s so convenient to enjoy dinner, wine, or drinks right at the hotel. The only thing that would make it even better would be an elevator or lift for luggage and guests who have difficulty with stairs. Otherwise, we absolutely love staying here and will continue to return whenever we are in Venice.
