A peaceful hideaway located on a private beach away from the crowded city. We provide a true island experience in the city. Whether enjoying a good book while swinging in the hammock or scavenging the beach for shells there are tons to do on property. Complimentary kayaking, cycling, Wi-Fi are all available on property. Our Island paradise is also equipped with a restaurant and bar in which you can dine on our beach deck or have a toe in the sand experience at the Sand Bar. If you would prefer to prepare your own meals we have an outside grill that may be provided upon request and a kitchenette within the room. There are two grocery stores that are nearby only 3-6minutes away via driving. If a car is needed we are more than happy to assist as there are staff on the property eager to assist upon request.

Summary: The Peaceful Hideaway has a wonderful location and a great potential to be a special place. Vanette is exceedingly helpful and responsive also with local transportation and renting a car. The location is right on the water and is quiet. It is quite far from Nassau and many attractions, so do rent a car and mind the pot holes. The room we had was functional, but rustic with many things in disrepair. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable and clean, the A/C worked well and so did the TV. Breakfast on the veranda overlooking the water is very nice. On the minus side, the water comes out in a trickle and is luke warm. Some of the fixtures like the shades are broken, so was one of the lamps. It clearly needs some TLC, but it has potential. If you're looking for plush and fancy, don't go there. If you're okay with a bit rustic and dated, the location makes up for some of this and you can smile and enjoy. Remember, you're in the Bahamas :-)
