3 Bedroom House in Poets Corner, Berkeley

**We are working on updating our photos. What you see here is 90% accurate. We put in new white oak floors and the living room furniture has been upgraded (new white couch, two upholstered arm chairs, coffee table and blue kilim rug). The teak day bed pictured is now out on the brick patio in back.**
Our home is spacious and comfortable with great indoor-outdoor living in the heart of the Bay Area. It is over 100 years old and we have remodeled it from top to bottom to keep the original details and charm, but make it modern, light, and comfortable in all the right ways. This is our primary home and we take good care of it. We love to cook and our kitchen is well stocked and nice to cook in. There are three bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms and two living spaces connected by an open kitchen. There is a warm, peaceful, and well-landscaped yard including a deck off the back room and furnished outdoor brick patio for lounging in the sun. There is also an outdoor dining table on the back deck with a gas grill. The grassy area is great for kids to play on. The backyard has a climate of its own and is unusually warmer even when it can be cooler in front.
The master bedroom gets morning light and has a new latex cal king bed that is medium firm. The kids room (very quiet middle bedroom) has a beautiful white bunk bed also with comfortable mattresses good for kids and adults. The third bedroom has a very comfortable wall bed (queen) that can be put up to create open space for yoga, working out or play activities for kids.
There are separate eating areas: a formal dinning room and an informal eating area in the family room, or a large table outside on the deck.
There are lots of toys and books for kids to play with as well as well as baby things if that's what you need. There is also a playground around the block.
There is secure parking behind our automatic gate in the front. If there is no car there, it's a great place for young kids to play on bikes.
