3 Bedroom Cottage in Big Canoe
Located in the North Georgia Appalachian Mountains, Harley's Hideaway is situated on Sconti Lake within Lake Watch Villas in Big Canoe, and is adjacent to the 9th Tee of the Creek Golf Course. We are conveniently located less than 1 mile from the Big Canoe Beach and Tennis Club, and 2 miles from the Big Canoe Marina. You can stroll to the Clubhouse to enjoy lunch or dinner at the Black Bear Pub and Mountain Grill restaurant.
Harley's Hideaway is the perfect spot for your wedding party guests or golf weekend getaway! We are only 10 miles from the Tate House Estate and Wedding Venue. Wineries and Amicalola Falls are a short drive from Big Canoe as well!
Our home has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and can accommodate 6 guests. The main level has two bedrooms both with a queen size bed, and closets with plenty of hangers. There are dressers in both bedrooms, as well as 2 night stands, and all linens are provided. The master bedroom has a private bathroom with a toilet and shower, and has a sliding glass door to the deck. The second bedroom has a shared bathroom with a toilet and shower with access from the kitchen. The upstairs loft, accessible via a spiral staircase, has 2 twin beds, dresser, and a private bathroom with a toilet and shower. All bathrooms have a hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, soap, and plenty of towels. Makeup towels are also provided.
The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, dishes, wine glasses, utensils, wine opener, spice rack, linens, and anything else you would need to cook a gourmet meal. A Keurig K-Cup coffee maker stocked with complimentary K-cups and tea to get your morning started.
The living area has a gas fireplace (with a remote to turn on/off), a Roku smart TV, books, and assorted board games. A Nexgrill propane gas grill (2 burner) is available for cooking out on the deck. High-speed WiFi and charging stations are provided as well.
Big Canoe is a premier mountain community, located about one hour north of Atlanta, Georgia in the North Georgia Mountains. Big Canoe is gated community within 8,000 acres of woodlands, meadows, lakes and streams, 3 golf courses, and resort style amenities. The amenities are available to our guests (fees apply, and are not included in the rental price).
Big Canoe offers 27 holes of golf, eight outdoor and two indoor tennis courts, and a fitness center with an indoor swimming pool. There are bocce ball courts and pickle ball courts as well.
There are three mountain lakes for your enjoyment: Petit, Sconti, and Disharoon. Lake Petit features a full marina with Pontoon Boats, Jon Boats, Kayaks, and Paddle Boards available for rental. Fishing on Lake Petit features 111 acres of open water with some of the best fishing Georgia has to offer. Lake Petit's 100-foot deep water is known for Rainbow Trout with the average trout running about 2lbs. Bass, Bluegill, Crappie, and Brim are also known to swim the waters of Lake Petit and Sconti Lake.
Be sure to check out the famous Rock Slide at the Beach club. Kids and adults can enjoy the bouncy park at the beach during the summer months.
Another fun area is the Wildcat Recreation Area which is located inside of the Wildcat neighborhood near Big Canoe's North Gate entrance. It is a great place for families to gather, with two pools, a playground, covered pavilion, hiking trails, sport courts, playfields and much more.
There are three, nine-hole courses (Creek, Choctaw and Cherokee), two putting areas, a chipping area and a driving range.

Pet Policy:
Dogs only please, but please let us know if you have other pets you'd like us to consider.
You will be responsible for any damages as well as additional cleaning or treatment needs due to fleas or "accidents." Please bring your pet's bedding as they are not permitted on the furniture or bedding.
We have provided towels specifically for your pet and ask that you use those and not the guest linens.
In order to bring your pets, you must agree to the following terms:
* Keep your pet under control at all times.
* Agree that your pet is housebroken.
* Agree to promptly report any damage caused by the pet.
* Agree to pay any costs for damage done by the pet that exceeds the pet fee or is not covered under the damage insurance policy.
* If damages are not reported but are found by owners/agent, it will be documented and necessary replacement or repair costs will be charged to your credit card on file.
* The pet must be up to date on rabies vaccinations and all other vaccinations. Heartworm preventative is highly recommended.
* Dogs should be treated with Advantage or similar topical flea and tick repellent three (3) days prior to arrival. Fleas and ticks are very rampant in this area and can cause harmful/fatal illness to humans and pets. All items above are the sole responsibility of the pet owner.
* Agree that the pet will not get on the furniture or bedding. There will be a $100 additional fee if pet hairs are found on the furniture or bedding.
* Agree that the pet will be rinsed of dirt & dried thoroughly before entering the unit. Pet towels are provided & must be washed, dried and returned to the proper spot before check-out. Guest linens & towels should never be used on your pet!
* Agree that the pet will not be washed in the showers. This must be done outside with the hose.
* Agree to clean up after the pet & dispose of the pet waste promptly.
* No personal pet beds or other such items should be put in the washer or dryer!
* All excess pet hair will be swept, vacuumed or otherwise picked up and removed prior to departure.
