Mountain Gem is located on a peaceful cul-de-sac approximately 1 mile from the resort entrance, and 1 mile from Wintergreen Resort’s Mountain Village. For nature-lovers, hiking and bird-watching are practically outside your front door on Fortunes Ridge Trail. Ski slopes are just minutes away, as are fishing, golf, wineries, breweries, cideries, farmers’ markets, antique stores, bakeries, and restaurants!
The main floor incorporates a newly renovated great-room concept. The modern, airy kitchen is stocked with all utensils, dishes, and glassware, and includes a welcoming sit-at counter and wine fridge. The dining area features a 6-person table with endless mountain views. An intimate sitting area is nestled around the chic linear electric fireplace, adding warmth and glamour to the gathering space. A large flatscreen TV rounds out the great room, or if you prefer use your favorite online streaming service with our GIG internet. The first-floor main bedroom has a plush king bed, where you can linger with morning coffee to experience the emerging early mountain vistas. A full bath completes the main floor, as well as a new washer/dryer.
Upstairs you will find a cozy sitting area for reading, family game time, or TV watching. A full bathroom and 2 additional bedrooms round out the second floor: a well-appointed queen bedroom with convenient lamps for reading in bed, and a stylish twin bedroom with lovely pastoral views.
Minimum rental age is 25.
Pets:
Limit of 2 dogs up to 50 Lbs. who are well trained, and housebroken. There is a one-time pet fee of $50.
Amenities:
We provide, bed linens, towels, paper towels, toilet paper, trash can liners, dishwasher packets, laundry packets and hand soap. We also provide coffee, creamer, sugar / sugar substitute. We maintain a selection of commonly used spices and California olive oil.
TV / Internet
Fiber internet service with full GIG speed (both download and upload). Both TV are amazon firestick enabled devices. If you prefer to watch one of your favorite services you can easily cast to either TV.
Entry:
There is a keypad located at the front door for a simple keyless entry. The entry code will be provided prior to your arrival.

There is plenty of parking space on the driveway for 2+ cars.

2nd floor has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the second with two twin beds
Kitchen:
Newly equipped with a refrigerator (with ice and water dispensers), gas stove/oven, microwave, and dishwasher. Includes all Pots/Pans/Plates/Cups/Utensils/wine glasses.
Security:
The home has two exterior security cameras: one mounted on the front porch covering the front porch and walkway, and a second mounted on the back of the house to cover the deck area.
While the resort’s pools are reserved for members only, this property has access to the HOA pools at Chestnut Springs on the mountain (94 Timber Camp Dr) and Rodes Farm in the valley (Stoney Creek). These pools operate from the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day. Unaccompanied guests of property owners may use the pools from 2 pm until 6 pm daily. With a guest pass, six guests can access the pool. The limit on people using WPOA pools per property is six. In addition to the pools, there are two fresh water lakes with swimming nearby. Lake Monocan, a 20-acre lake and park operated by the resort that is located at 239 Camping Ridge Lane in Stoney Creek. There is a fee per person to enter and it is closed to the public on Saturdays. Sherando Lake Recreation Area is also nearby. Known locally as the jewel of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Families enjoy picnicking in this shaded and woody area, while relaxing on the sandy beach of a 25-acre spring-fed lake. Access to multiple trailheads and rustic architecture provide numerous points of interest for families to enjoy. $8 per vehicle up to 8 passenger capacity for day use.
Currently, due to a new policy of Wintergreen resort, unaccompanied guests (renters) are not allowed access to the gym, indoor pools or Devils Knob golf course.
