Positive: We had a very pleasant stay at the cottage. The location was ideal—set back from the road, surrounded by fields, with walking trails, a pub, Co-op and fish and chip shop nearby. The cottage itself was clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hosts have gone to a lot of effort to ensure we had full details of the surrounding area and provided us with a good description of how things worked in the cottage. We appreciated the welcome basket with some coffee pods, bottle of wine and biscuits! The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, and the Wi-Fi worked reliably. We stayed in October and the cottage was warm and cozy. We are a family with a teenager. The few steps from the parking area were not an issue for us. The cottage is up a hill – but it is in the Peak District and we expected hills! It’s a great spot if you’re looking for a country retreat. We would happily return.
