Positive: Everything about our stay was exceptional. The check-in experience included complimentary tea and sweets in the lobby as our luggage was brought to our room. The spacious room was wonderfully Japanese with tatami mats, a teapot with complimentary sencha, and decorative touches. We wore yukatas to the sento, which was clean and relaxing. We enjoyed the outdoor pools the most, having them mostly to ourselves. We didn't have dinner there, but breakfast was good. We were able to request vegan options with advanced notice. The proximity to the train station and the deer park was fantastic. Overall a wonderful experience that left us refreshed and ready to hike in Mt. Kasuga Primeval Forest!
