Our charming modern home with two bedrooms, a large great room with dining and living areas is located on the beautiful Lake of the Isles on Wellesley Island in the St. Lawrence River (lake is really an inlet of the river.) Queen sleeper sofa & roll away allow for sleeping for 7. Bring your boat & fishing gear. Great fishing right off the dock or find your favorite spot on the lake or a quick 5 minute boat ride to the St. Lawrence River. Just minutes by car to Alex Bay. The house features an open plan with a beautiful panoramic view of the Lake viewed from the great room. The island is surrounded by the Lake of the Isles and the main channel of the river. There's easy access via boat or car to Alexandria Bay and Clayton, New York as well as Canada. Boating, fishing, kayaking and swimming are key activities on the water.
Bring your boats with you on your vacation and dock them on your private docks. Just drive your boat to DeWolf Point Park (state park) on Wellesley Island, 45920 County Rt. 191, Fine View, NY and launch it into the Lake of the Isles. DeWolf Point Park is just a short boat ride away from the house. Nominal fees for launching and storing your trailer, if you like.
Relax, dine and hang-out with friends and family on the large deck overlooking the lake. Deck has table for dining that seats six with additional seating available (café' tables with matching chairs). The long private dock is ideal for large and small boats. The dock's water depth can accommodate a variety of boats. The house features a large front deck, a back deck and two side decks.
Wellesley Island has two State Parks, Nature Center, and three golf courses. The island is accessed easily from Interstate 81 and provides quick access to the Canadian border which is less than a mile away. Alex Bay & Clayton are only a few minutes away. Travel there by car or boat.
The house has been newly painted throughout the interior, all tile floors have been cleaned and resealed. The kitchen features new appliances and the bathroom has been updated. Parking for four cars is located at the car port area at the bottom of the hill.
The property is on top of a hill overlooking the lake. The beautiful modern house has floor to ceiling windows across the front of the house that provide a stunning view of the large lake. Enjoy your morning coffee on the private deck, listening to fish jumping, birds chirping and splashing of waves against the dock. Our neighbors' beautiful chimes can be heard from one of the bedrooms, too. Everyone can catch a fish or two off of the dock. Local fish include sunfish, perch, small and large mouth bass and pikes. The water is perfect for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, jet skiing, boating or just relaxing in an inflatable tube or chair. Bring your boat or boats and dock them at your private docks.
Rental is usually from Saturday to Saturday, but please check with us if you require something different. New rates for June and September and October. Not available for rental during late fall and winter months.
