The quietly situated, typical, pleasant and modern Harz house invites you to relax and recharge your batteries within 114m² on the ground floor and attic.
You go along the path from the road lined with rhododendrons and trees, past the garage and car port to the house, through the glazed entrance portico into the big, open hallway with a wardrobe area and a practical guest WC. On the ground floor you can enjoy the big living room flooded with daylight, with a comfortable and chic leather sitting corner (LED TV, mini stereo system, library), and can sit comfortably in the stylish dining space with a panoramic window, as well as on the terrace. Relax in the reading room, which can also be used as a third bedroom, with a French sofa bed (145 x 190cm), a library and a table. You can prepare meals conveniently in the kitchen, fully-equipped with everything including bread-cutting machine. The upper floor is accessed up customised white stairs and comprises two beautiful bedrooms, two bathrooms and a cosy sitting corner on the gallery. From here you can enjoy views of greenery and the sky. The big bathroom with a bath looks out at nature. The functional bathroom is fitted with a shower. One of the bedrooms is furnished with a double bed (160 x 200cm), the other with a single bed and double sofa bed (2 x 75 x 195cm).
Outside you go across the sun terrace and down two steps to the extensive forest garden with a roofed sitting corner, benches and grill. You can also find forest strawberries and blueberries in the garden. The forested site measures 3000m². The garage and shelter can accommodate your car, bicycles, skis etc. You can have breakfast at the hotel 60 metres away (to be booked in advance). The wireless Internet connection at the hotel can be used free of charge.
Dine at one of the many restaurants in the area (the nearest is 300 metres away). Many recreational activities are available. In summer you can hike on the famous Liebesbankweg (first premium trail in the whole of Niedersachsen and the Harz, with charmingly designed benches, 600 metres from the house), bike at the Hahnenklee biker park with seven trails, have fun on the summer toboggan (length 1250 metres) and the Bag Jump (height 9 metres) at Bocksberg, at the Waldseebad (8 minutes from the house, a pool in the forest), go swimming, fishing, play mini golf, tennis etc. In winter you can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, sledging on a total of five slopes at Bocksberg with the new snow cannons, as well as go cross-country skiing and ski touring. There are thermal baths nearby. The Harz culture starts in Hahnenklee, five minutes from the house, with the famous Nordic church built entirely of wood and the rare Carillon, where concerts are also held. The UNESCO world cultural heritage site “Oberharzer Wasserwirtschaft” with its ponds and moats is just a five-minute walk away. In Goslar you can explore the old town (UNESCO world cultural heritage site) and Rammelsberg with a museum. There are some mines that can be visited nearby. George Clooney shot the film “Monuments Men” in neighbouring locations. Concerts, events, museums and local handicrafts can be enjoyed in Hahnenklee and surroundings.
