Positive: Two balconies, breathtaking sea view and riviera, beach entrance straight from the hotel. It's an apart hotel Salvia, in the very centre of Cancun night life. But the building is tucked away from the street. Beach disco activity is over by 8 pm usually, once it was till midnight, but the balcony doors are sound proof. The apartment is not new but clean, tile floor is nice, kitchen is well-equipped, new large fridge, hot water all the time. Safe box in the room, 24-h reception, guards at the entrance. House-keeping every second day. Everything is nearby - restaurants, 7-11, large supermarket Chedraui (you can buy whatever there), bus stop right at the entrance (route 1, 15 min to Cancun town, 12 pesos p/p).
Negative: We didn't get address details, so it took our taxi driver several hours to find the building. The host's phone was unreachable. But after our complains the host adjusted the address details, so now it should be easier for you. 100 USD deposit (not peso) which is not mentioned on booking.com. They will also inspect your room when checking out before giving you the money back (in case you've stolen their TV, I guess). Slow check-in and out. Beach towels should have been changed every day according to their own policy. But they didn't do it in fact. "No glass" policy in this hotel. Technically you can't bring a wine bottle to your room. It's ridiculous, especially cause there are plenty of glass dishes in the apartment itself. They also might forget your cleaning schedule, so one should keep an eye on it. So this hotel sets up a lot of rules for you and doesn't follow their own. Shower inbuilt into the wall was not convenient. Wifi is spotty, especially in the kitchen.
