Summary: The staff is really great although in my opinion they were completely under staffed. Poor employees were literally running around. One person doing the job of 3 people. We really appreciated the Birthday goodies left in our room (which we didn’t request and who knows how they knew). I’ve stayed there before about 5 years ago. The place looks run down. Needs cleaning and fresh paint in the stairwells. Also, they now charge for parking. ($15 per night) The elevators were boiling hot. The rooms’ cabinets wouldn’t close shut. The pool had limited seating for only about 20 guests at most. There was visible water damage on our bathroom door and on the rooms wall and ceiling. On our last day there were big insects DEAD on the floor! Only ONE ice dispenser for the whole hotel. Complimentary Happy Hour was limited to 2 drinks per person as before it was unlimited. The snacks were enjoyed by all. Their menu in the complimentary breakfast gets a 10! But not enough staff to get the long lines down. The size of the rooms get a 10. The staff gets a 20! The condition of the hotel is not up to par for Embassy Suites = 4.5. The location is a 10 (plenty of restaurants and stores close by) Alexis the hotel employee (maybe manager) was super friendly and did the best she could and gave her all (again…one employee doing the work of at least 3 people) and I commend her for that!
