Waterfront The cottage has a sand/pebble shoreline, and shallow access to the water. Small boats may be launched at the shoreline, but the water is weedy and swimming is not recommended there. Boating and fishing are good, and there are several beaches within 40 minutes of the cottage.

Balsam Lake Provincial Park. Park offering boating on the Trent-Severn Waterway, a large sandy beach, good fishing for Walleye, Muskellunge, Large and Small Mouth Bass. Canoe, kayak and stand up paddleboard rentals are available, and there are easy hiking trails. (30 mins)
