Cricket Hollow – a Naturalist’s Dream
Cricket Hollow is a spacious completely updated vacation rental home on the hill at Guanabara Bay. Its front deck is the perfect place to relax and watch the sun rise . The deck gives unprecedented evening star gazing opportunities.
Just down the hill from the property is a private dock on Guanabara Bay where you can fish for sand bass.
The home can sleep 6 guests comfortably with a king bedroom and a queen bedroom, plus a bonus TV room with two sleeper sofas that sleeps two comfortably. It has 2 fully-remodeled baths, a washer/dryer, and comes complete with linens, towels and paper products. The enclosed sun room allows for great views of the surrounding areas. The kitchen includes gorgeous granite counter tops, new cabinets, microwave, gas stove top, oven, large refrigerator, dishwasher, cookware, dishes, coffee pot, etc. If you like to barbecue, it even has a charcoal BBQ grill to accommodate you!
If you tire of the great outdoors, Cricket Hollow has a large flat-screen TV complete with steaming capabilities and DVD player in the living room, and a HUGE flat screen TV in the back room with DVD. There are games and a game table too!

IMPORTANT HOUSE RULES- Please Read!
Your satisfactory stay is very important to us and we want to correct anything that is not in working order. Please report any issues or concerns to us as soon as you notice them. We will make every effort to get it immediately fixed. We will not honor any requests for refund or compensation for any concerns or problems if they are reported after your departure.
1.You are responsible for any loss or damage to the property or loss or damage to the property of the neighbors. There is NO SMOKING allowed inside any cabins. Non compliance will result in a $200 fee.
2.Please watch the noise and language outside. Your voices will carry over water. We reserve the right to expel anyone drunk and/or disorderly (without refund) from our property. This is a family oriented facility and neighborhood. No late night parties outdoors, no fireworks please.
3.Please do not burn in fire pits on windy days or during a burn ban. Fire danger is high and very real. Douse all fires after use and do not leave anything burning when you go inside or leave. Fireworks are not permitted.
House keeping:
a. We request that you strip the beds, and start a load of sheets and pillow cases before leaving. Please leave comforters and/or blankets on the beds.
b. Do not re-make beds that were used.
c. Please place the used towels in front of the washer.
d. Wipe down the kitchen counters and clean the stove and oven if anything has been spilled in or on it. Put all dishes in dishwasher and start it.
e. Please take all trash to the outside cans. MAKE SURE ALL TRASH IS BAGGED or the garbage company won't take it. If we have to bag your trash, we will charge $50.00.
f. Do not throw cigarette butts outside except in fire pit. Remember fire danger.
5. Liability: The owners and/or management team are not responsible or liable for any accidents on the property resulting in injury or death.
6. Management will contact you to check if everything is in working order and to your liking. If they find that more guests than reserved for are staying at the property, you may be asked to leave. Should that be the case no refund will be given.
7. If we find that a pet has been brought to a property that is not pet friendly you will be asked to leave without a refund.
CHECK OUT IS 11:00am- Please be respectful of the 11:00am checkout, so we can get the cabin cleaned before the next guests arrive.
Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel, please call and notify us as soon as possible. Email and voice-mail cancellations are not acceptable. You will need a confirmation of cancellation from us.
If a cancellation is made more than 15 days before the start of the reservation period, we will refund your credit card deposit less $15 for credit card processing fees.
A cancellation received fewer than 15 days before the reservation period will forfeit the deposit unless we can re-book the reservation. If we can rebook the reservation, we will charge a $50 cancellation fee.
If you cancel within 7 days of arrival you will forfeit your deposit unless we can rebook. Then the cancellation fee of $50.00 will be charged to your CC. If you do not show up, you will be responsible for each night booked unless we can rebook. If we can rebook the $50.00 cancellation fee will apply. No exceptions, sorry.
Please put the key in the keybox when you leave! If we have to access the property for repairs or checks we cannot so if you don't.
