Our Cottage Chardonnay is located in the heart of the Cape's most famous and beautiful suburbs, amongst the leafy vines of the oldest wine lands in the Cape. It is in close proximity to many of the celebrated Cape restaurants. It is also a minute or two away from the chic Constantia Village Shopping Center with its wide variety of fashionable shops and restaurants.
It offers furnished self-catering accommodation for two to four people. Make yourself at home in this comfortable cottage fully equipped to make your stay an enjoyable one. It boasts 1 room open plan design with bedroom, bathroom, fully fitted kitchenette, lounge/dining room with satellite Tv. It leads to a private patio with delightful small garden and boasts a solar-heated pool, shared by all guests of the other 4 guest units of Constantia Cottages.

We are situated in a beautiful countryside and all of the trappings of contemporary living. Constantia has got an excellent infrastructure with all amenities. Imagine leafy tree-lined avenues, flourishing vineyards and elegant private residences. Short drives to either the False Bay coastline with its charming historical suburbs or to the white-sanded beaches of Hout Bay and Llandudno. Constantia, an ideal place for a serene and relaxed holiday in Cape Town.
Our wider area is called Constantia Valley, the jewel of the Cape, steeped in history and breathtaking scenery. It is the birthplace of the wine farming industry in South Africa. World class wines are being produced in this lovely green surrounding and accoladed for its escalating quality. Visitors can taste the fine wines and experience a unique journey through each of the 8 open-for-public farms, which also hold top-class Restaurants, namely e.g. "chef’s Warehouse" at Beau Constantia and "the Restaurant" at Buitenverwachting. The farms are all within a few minutes’ drive of each other. With two top-class golf courses within the valley and two others in the vicinity Constantia is well known as one of the golfing paradises of the world. It includes Constantia craft market, local horse-riding and mountain-biking trails, and the up-market Constantia Village Shopping Center which offers a wonderful variety of boutiques, coffee shops and restaurants.
Also within short distance of Constantia is the world-famous Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens (5km), where one can spend hours wandering through the splendor of countless different botanical displays, such as the Fragrance Garden, the Dell, the Cycad Amphitheatre. Alternatively summer picnics on the rolling green lawns gazing at the breathtaking mountain backdrop listening to the music of one of Sunday-concerts at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. These sunset concerts are a fine way to spend some of your holidays in Cape Town.

Directions:
Coming from the Cape Town International Airport, take Highway N2 to Cape Town. At "Groote Schuur" (big hospital on the right) leave N2 to the left at the sign “m3 to Muizenberg”. Follow M3 and pass exits Rondebosch, Kirstenbosch, Claremont, Bishopscourt and "Constantia Main Road" until turnoff no. 15, Kendal Road. Turn left on Kendal Road into the area of Morningstar/the Vines/constantiaberg and turn left again (next) into Walloon Road. After ca. 300 meters stop at the big white gate (yellow walls) on the right side, no. 14, and ring the bell “office”.
Getting around:
The best way to see the sights is to use a rental car. Alternatively Uber-taxies are always available in the area. Standard taxies can be organized by us (arranged pick-up times). Major railway stations are in Plumstead and Wynberg. Local bus lines or black taxies are not recommendable.
Interactions with guests:
We can also help to plan your complete stay, e.g. with a quote for a rental car. The local car hire companies often have better rates than the well-known ones, but the quality of the cars and their service is the same. We can arrange day trips with or without driver, tours to the beautiful Winelands with wine tasting, book shark diving trips and other activities for you, recommend and book the right restaurants according to your taste.
