Summary: Hi, I was attempting to get credit as I had to miss the date of my scheduled two-day stay. But the policy was to return to the third party (Hotel.com), and it was suggested to see if I could use the credit to stay another time. I did miss the deadline for canceling, so I am not asking for any sympathy. But things do come up, and changing the dates could be a bit more accommodating. I know you can change the date if you add an additional fee, but still. Next time I will pay attention to the cancel date, and hopefully nothing changes on my end after the date has passed. I had a personal matter to deal with.
