The loft brings together the paradoxes of the quiet country life out your windows while splashing a modern industrial design inside. The loft is located on the second floor of what was once used as an old tobacco barn and later woodshop. It is now a stunning 1700 square foot redesign with three suites. That’s right, every room has a full luxury bathroom and a TV, so no fighting about who gets the best room; unless of course you want to fight about who gets the large modern walk in shower versus who gets the zen spa like soaking tub.
The main space is open and comfortable with high ceilings and enormous windows that bring the treetops and long range Blue Ridge Mountain Views inside (this is especially striking in the fall as the colors change).
This main living area combines two different seating areas (and the most comfortable sofa ever from west elm), a TV (craftily disguised as a piece of art), a dining area and a kitchen all in one large open space inviting you to reconnect and enjoy long conversations and hopefully some good belly laughs.
After a day of adventure and discovery relax on the patio, light up the fire table for ambiance, take in the fiery sunset, or sip on a glass of wine at sunset and watch the mountain range lazily turn to a pink hue. Later, retreat to your private suite with name brand furniture (mostly West Elm, Crate & Barrel, CB2, Pottery Barn and HomeGoods), highly rated mattresses and all new crisp clean sheets and towels. Every bathroom is large and was designed for comfort, luxury and relaxation.
In each room you’ll find a window with beautiful country views: a country road, hillsides of green or an old barn sitting creekside perfectly framed in your window like art. While you’ll be tempted to sink into our mattresses and lose yourself to a restful night of sleep, don’t miss out on the star show outside! The Craftsman Loft sits on a ridge of Blackberry Springs Farm, a small farm luxury vacation rental resort. Lastly, the loft is right off a road- it is a country road but you do often hear cars when they go by. Even louder than the cars are the frogs at night and the birds in the morning. Welcome to country “quiet”.
