Positive: The Studio was a good size for one person, and has a little kitchenette too. The a/c worked really well, the pool was lovely/accessible and the bed was SO comfortable (more comfortable than my own bed at home). The property management company was easy to reach on a couple of requests and the location of the studio was very convenient (easy to walk to a couple of different beaches from there) and, although close to main roads, the location itself was quiet peaceful. I'm glad I chose to stay in Boucan Canot instead of Ste Gilles les Bains (which would have been much busier over the Christmas holiday period).
Negative: The studio could use a small sofa to sit on to watch TV (others have commented on this). For me it wasn't too big a deal (I travel solo) but it would have been nice to have. I arrived on a Sunday afternoon and was a bit disappointed that there was no 'starter coffee/tea pack' (my booking was for 16 nights). The property management company had posted a notice containing a QR code sign on one of the shelves which I tried twice to get to work and couldn't (downloaded a couple of QR code readers but ended up with the same outcome as just scanning with my camera - couldn't download the info), please just have a 'welcome' packet/book available for guests, it's easier (this may have helped figure out how to use the 2-ring stove top burner which I wasn't able to figure out, not even with YouTube videos). I recommend reconfiguring the 2 shelves in the kitchen area so the kettle can be plugged in on the main counter (it's plugged in to a socket behind the wall, & can't be moved) as it's a hazard for someone shorter like me to reach up above head level and grab something with boiling water in it.
Summary: Overall, a nice relaxing property to de-stress in after a busy year in a convenient location.
