We are your relaxing oasis in an exciting city. We offer a large amenity filled one bedroom apt with a full bath. Can sleep up to 7 people. Original hardwood floors and 10ft ceilings with unique woodwork. Beautiful rugs cover the floors. Bedroom has 2 queen beds and still has ample room for a queen airbed, which we provide as needed. New gel infused memory foam mattress 10/17! Second large room has kitchen, dining and living/TV area with a large couch. Beautiful wool rugs cover the floors. The bathroom is large with double vanity countertop, heated towel rack, lighted make-up mirror and a rainfall showerhead with a great massage mode. There is a wonderful large entryway with full length mirror and bench. We are developing an urban farm on on the lot we recently acquired next door and love to share seasonal produce with our guests when available. We are 2-10 min from all the shopping, dining, Kentucky Derby, Bourbon Trail, U of L, Yum Center, Mega Cavern, 4th St live, Slugger museum, Muhammad Ali museum and downtown/Bardstown Rd activities you can visit. The large garden area has a private deck for guests where smoking is allowed. We offer both gas and charcoal grills and supplies for guests use also. We do have a washer and dryer in our living space available for guests use. We allow pets( see rules for pets) but the garden area is not for dogs to run freely through. They must be under your control. Our neighborhood is not the suburbs. It is an ethnically diverse, urban, mixed use neighborhood ( business,residential and warehouses). We get more foot, bike and car traffic than you would guess, which means people and noise, which is why we set up the private outside space and entrance for guests use. Most of the homes are mid 1800's-early 1900's brick shotgun style homes. There are no homes across the street from us, just businesses and a couple of old, very cool brick warehouses that are still in use. The neighborhood is rapidly being redeveloped and upscaled. It's a great, convenient, central location to easily and quickly get to everything that this exciting city has to offer, and then come back to a large, peaceful and comfortable space you can relax and feel at home in. We would love to help you enjoy your visit to our great city!
We do allow an early check in or late check out when possible on a first to request basis ( we want to accommodate your schedule as much as we can). We also allow guests to drop their bags off early with us if needed, and then we move them into the apt when it is ready. We do have a small studio apt on the property that we rent out so there may be other guests staying also. Each apt has a seperate private entrance and deck.
