THE PROPERTY:
Our amazing and unique home has an equally interesting history. What started out circa 1930 as a tiny Spanish style home transformed into an impressive 1960s 7-bedroom Mid-Century Modern palace. Owned by a large and well known family in the 1960's, the home more than tripled in size as it underwent a major build-out sparing no expense to create an amazing house for their family of 12 children. The family achieved local fame as West Palm Beach's very own version of "The Brady Bunch" and were profiled (including the home) several times over the years in The Palm Beach Post. Many West Palm Beach locals have gone to school with one of their kids over the years or at least know someone who went to school with a member of their family. Since the late 1970's the home had been owned by "The World's Foremost Private Art Dealer" up until 2010 when we purchased the property from his estate.
GUEST ACCESS:
The rear courtyard and sitting area is dedicated to guests. There is a dedicated parking spot in the rear driveway near the rear courtyard entrance and apartment space.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD:
Our charming shaded street is the jewel of the neighborhood with a large canopy of mahogany trees. Walking distance to the famous Havana Cuban Restaurant whose 24-hour walk-up window is a local favorite. Walk down to Napoleon bakery for unbelievable baked goods a la Spain, breakfast, lunch and desserts to die for.
For local nighttime dining we have some of the best Restaurants in town on Antique Row including Table 26, Belle & Maxwell, The Rhythm Cafe and Grato.
GETTING AROUND:
The property is 1/2 mile from I-95 and only a 5 minute drive from Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) and 45 minute drive from Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL). Palm Tran (city bus) has a stop 6 blocks away, and the nearest Tri-Rail (train that connects Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties) station is a few minutes by car.
