Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Great location by the sea, very friendly staff and good atmosphere in pub/dining room . Good food and generous portions, fair prices. Only stayed one night but thought it would be a great place for a long weekend and exploring the area. Modern external room with large , built - in wardrobe. We were given the one with a sea view.

Negative: The mattress on the bed in our room seemed old and worn out springs- very uncomfortable. Leaving a tired mattress in an otherwise bright modern decor guest room is a shame as I would not book to stay again unless confirmed that another room has a modern, quality mattress. The step down out of the room was uneven and sloping. Very difficult for a person using a stick . I think a proper new step needs installing as it is a tripping hazard. If these issues were fixed then it would be a 10 out of 10 review. Other rooms looked to have a suitable step in place.

Summary: Lovely location by the sea, friendly staff. Tasty and good value food in the evening.
