Our bright and cozy backyard guesthouse has a full kitchen and bathroom, with one full bed and one pull-out couch. Wifi is fast and reliable. We are one block from the heart of Alberta Street and an easy walk to cafes, restaurants, and bars. It is located on a neighborhood alley so it's super quiet - a great place to relax or to use as a home base for exploring PDX.
Access via the path on the south side of the house (left side if looking from the street). Please park on the street, and do not block the alley.

The home may include a decibel monitoring sensor to ensure that neighborhood noise levels are respected. NoiseAware is a smart home device that measures decibel levels throughout the property. It allows us to respond to noise nuisances without disrupting your stay. Tampering is prohibited.
We live across the yard in a separate unit, but you might see us going through the back gate with our bikes from time to time.
Lined with shops, galleries, restaurants and bars, Northeast Alberta Street erupts into a colorful street fair on the last Thursday of every month.
No shared spaces except the backyard, the guest house is all yours!
Newly-renovated 400 square-foot 1920's carriage house on a quiet alley with an open floor plan, full kitchen, and bathroom. Lot's of windows and a private back patio make this a great retreat or a home base for exploring everything Portland has to offer. Fast and reliable wireless internet access. Convenient, free on-street parking is readily available.

This is a shoe-free household. Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 7 AM. No parties. We, the hosts, live on the other side of the yard in the main house.
Should you want to venture beyond all the great shops, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and galleries on Alberta Street, we are 1 block from the 17 Trimet Bus Line which will take you to Downtown Portland in 20 mins. If you plan to bike, we are 1 block from Going Street, one of NE Portland's premier bike boulevards.

Summary: Beautifully designed property, comfortable, well appointed and private in quiet neighborhood a short walk to Alberta street arts district. Friendly people, good food and drink, and easy driving to Pearl District and to Washington Park. Japanese garden there was incredible. We love Portland!
