Positive: I don't think I've ever scored anything at 10. However, this place really deserves it. It was absolutely dreamy. Everything was perfect and there were so many gorgeous little touches like slippers provided, tea, coffee, little cosmetic kit in the bathroom and a couple of other lovely little bits. The drive down to the apartment is an interesting squeeze but a lot of Madeira is crazy like that. The view from the terrace/ patio area is breathtaking, the photos really don't do it justice. We sat and had most of our meals and morning coffee etc out here, and on a clear night the view of the stars over the sea is just wow. The flat itself is reasonably sized, perfect for a couple or friends. Furnishing is lovely, attention to detail is really great, there is all you could need: blender, cheese grater, olive oil and salt, Tupperware boxes, herbs and spices, all new and clean. Even the bowls and mugs are really cute. Everything was spotless and smelled lovely. We dropped a few drops of water on the floor at one point and cleaned it up with a paper towel and were shocked at how pristine the paper towel looked after wiping the floor. Both of the hosts were so helpful and lovely and communicative throughout, you could tell they really cared. Alvaro came to greet us and gave us recommendations and was on hand throughout our stay to help us. There was a gorgeous little food truck called Bon Aires about a 5 minute drive away which we definitely recommend. We got burgers and brought them back to eat with our lovely view. We will definitely be staying here again.
