Welcome to our beautiful 18th Century Millers Cottage in a quiet country lane in the village of Antrain. Walk around the corner to collect your croissants and bread in the morning, visit the bar without having to drive home, or walk to the small supermarket or little food market for your groceries. All very handy yet we're in a peaceful setting with the only noise coming from the near church bells (near but daytime only) and the wood pigeons. Antrain is a brilliant location, we're on the borders of Normandy and Brittany. Ferries, beautiful beaches and medieval towns are all within 45 minutes easy reach. Le Mont St Michel is 25mins away and St Malo and Dinard are 45mins. The historic town of Fougeres is 20mins and 15mins away is the town of Pontorson with many restaurants. The bay of Mont St Michel is renowned for fine seafood, you can visit sophisticated restaurants in Cancale or equally stop at the roadside shacks for a casual moules mariniere. On the edge of the village is the Chateau de Bonnefontain with gardens open to the public in the summer and 2km out of the village is the Forest of Villecartier, with its beautiful walks around the lake, treetop adventure courses, boating and pony rides. There are many family attractions all within one hours easy drive, zoos, alligator bay, theme parks, aquariums as well as numerous beautiful beaches. Our house has a cute country cottage feel, with lots of character and a wow master bedroom. There's a woodburner for those slightly colder evenings as well as modern heating throughout. The garden is beautiful and with grapevines, cherry, peach, plum and pear trees you will bound to find a fresh, tasty treat. There is absolutely everything to make your holiday as comfortable as possible from films, English and French TV to a book library and boardgames. As of August 2019 we have defeated the thick walls in the house and now have wifi throughout the cottage. In the garden there is a large dining table to accomodate 6 people as well as a few sun loungers and picnic benches, ideal for a BBQ.
