Positive: We stayed in Alcudia Beach Apartments for 10 nights (family with 2 children). Upon arrival the apartment was very clean. The parking for the tented car was easy- there were always free spots on the circle near the hotel. The location of hotel was great- close to the beach, close to the shops, in the vert quiet neighborhood. So we could relax and seep at night- all animation/music in the hotel switched off after 10 pm. The staff at the reception were friendly and helpful. The pool was nice and clean, open from 10:00 till 19:00. Wi-fi was free in the room, not super fast but stable. However, we had to pay extra to use the safe. Cannot comment on the food- we had self-catering apartment.
Negative: Even thought the apartment was really clean upon arrival, the regular cleaning service was very basic. There was always a lot of sand left on the floor and balcony. There are no strings or any other equipment to hang the beach towel, swimsuits on the balcony. So expect to dry all this on the railings of the balcony or on the floor. Due to the occasional wind a lot of clothes and towels regularly end up on the bushes or on the ground. Also there is only one hook to hang the towel in the bathroom (in the apartment for 4 people) so you need to be creative :) There is no salt/sugar/pepper, no welcome tea/coffee bags or water bottle upon arrival. The air conditioning is centralised. You cannot regulate the temperature. You can only choose the speed of the fan (1-2-3). We had to set it to speed 2, because other options were very loud. In general, the aircon was quite loud. So if you are sensitive to noise at night, consider choosing a different hotel. We were all freezing at night due to aircon working too intensively. We even had to use blankets in August or switched it off completely so that the kids could fall asleep without freezing. Overall, we spent very little time in the room, mainly in the late evenings, as we were travelling a lot. So we were not that much bothered with all these drawbacks. We had great vacation and a good stay at this hotel. We stayed during the high season in August, so the prices were 300 euro per night. Was it a good value for money? Definitely not! Would I come again or recommend? Maybe yes, but only it the price is more reasonable if course. It was the cheapest option when were searching for accommodation in Alcudia area, that is why we picked it.
