3 Bedroom Cottage in Madaket, Nantucket

This updated West End cottage has beautiful harbor views. There are multiple living areas inside and out. The property is air-conditioned, newly furnished and located about 50 yards from the public pier - a great spot to launch kayaks or a small boat. This quaint cottage provides modern amenities, new furnishings, and the perfect setting to enjoy a summer vacation. You can also view my nearby alternative vacation rental at Vrbo # 813594.
Layout: From a large yard with water views is the front porch which is complete with outdoor furniture and a grill.
Renovated in 2020, you enter into a cozy kitchen and living room area with new appliances including a dishwasher, washer-dryer, and a flat-screen TV. The master bedroom has a cathedral ceiling, adjojns the 1/2 bath, has its own air conditioning zone, and a queen bed. The second bedroom has a built-in Queen bed and its own AC as well. Accessed from the living room area are another small bedroom with a single lofted bed and seating below, a shared full bath with a cast iron tub and the back deck has an outdoor shower. In the kitchen, there is bar seating for three. In addition to the shared full bath, there is also a half bathroom accessed from the kitchen with private access from the master.
Located at the opposite end of a large lot is another rental home. The cottage may be rented separately, or when the houses are rented together, it serves as the perfect space for extra guests. This is a NON-Smoking House and Pets are not permitted.

Summary: My wife and 7 year old spent four weeks at the house and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The property was spotless and well laid out. What impressed us most about the place was its outdoor space and location. The large deck, surrounded by flowering plants with partial views of the bay (about 100 feet away), was a great place to spend time. We spent afternoons grilling and watching the boats float by and saw incredible sunsets from the public dock. We were able to walk to Millie’s and Madaket beach. The bike path, bus stop, and public dock are also within 100 feet of the property. I had to spend a few days working from home and found the Wi-Fi completely acceptable. We stayed at several places on the island, and so far, this house has offered us the best Nantucket experience. And btw, the owner is a great guy who was immensely helpful during our stay.
