2 Bedroom Apartment in Moose Creek, North Pole
Spacious 1200sf apartment all to yourself!
2 bedrooms, 1.75 bathrooms. High ceilings throughout. The Master includes a walk-through closet and a master bath with laundry facilities. There is a queen sleigh bed, set of drawers, and blackout curtains to help you sleep under the summer midnight sun! Bedroom 2 is smaller but has a deep closet, twin bed, a dresser and blackout curtains.
Spacious living room, kitchen and dining space. A 3/4 bath is right off the kitchen for all guests use.
This unit is a below-ground unit (keeps cooler in the summers).
If you are planning a trip for anything Air Force Base related, we are only 2 minutes away from the gate, perfect for getting on and off base quickly.
The apartment has recently been remodeled, but you may notice there are still some finishing touches we are working on adding.
The master bedroom includes a Casper mattress. There are four actual beds, and two twin air mattresses available on request, or you may use the couch and one air mattress.
The kitchen includes all the cooking essentials. We provide coffee and tea. We also like to spoil you with a few food staples upon your arrival such as fruit and bread and whatever else fun things we found to add that week!
Upon arrival, you will be able to park in front of the third garage stall to the left of the front door, and the fourth space to the left of that. There is also ample parking on the side of the driveway.
Enter the building through the common main entrance, but then enjoy a separate entry area on the right to the apartment. Feel free to use the coat closet outside of your door, as well as any furnishings in the entryway.
Just down the road from the Santa Claus house, 9 minutes from downtown North Pole, and only a 2-minute drive to the Eielson Air Force Base main gate.
Between North Pole and us are Bathing Beauty pond (for fishing), Moose Creek Bluff (hiking), Moose Creek Lake (connected to the Tanana River), the Chena flood project which is home to the Chena lakes rec area for camping, fishing, boating, and day-use on the sandy beach, and access to the river that flows through the dam and flood project. Don't forget we are just a 20-minute drive to the famous Knotty Shop gift and ice cream shop in Salcha.
In the winter you may get lucky and catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights from our driveway.
Moose frequent through the yard in winter.
And you can observe the Alaska Railroad operate their trains across the wide "Santa Claus Bridge", or very near our house!
The main town of Fairbanks is a 23-minute drive from our place, and if you are really here to explore, you must see Denali, only about a 2.5 hour drive away!
Explore Alaska's interior while having a cozy apartment to return to each evening.
You will want a rental car while enjoying your stay here. Nothing in Alaska is small. That includes gi-normous mosquitoes, and distances to great views and explorations.
Last, but not least, our family lives in the unit upstairs with pets. (There is a shared entryway, but separate entrances to your unit and our house once inside the entryway, so come right in the first front door when you arrive).
We are a generally quiet family, but occasionally there may be regular noises that transfer to the downstairs (pets walking, laughter, etc) from upstairs and we apologize for that.
When you arrive, look for the sunset colored mailbox. Don't be shy, come straight down the long driveway.
