Originally located in Tennessee, the cabin was moved to Lake Junaluska in 1977. For a fun-filled history lesson, see the tags on the logs that helped aid the reassembly process.
Access to the cabin from the street is up a hill via three dozen stone stairs. Also, the interior stairs between the two floors are very steep and the steps are shallow.
Outdoor adventure is abundant near your stay! Less than a mile away, discover the gleaming shoreline of Lake Junaluska. Blue Ridge Parkway, Flat Laurel Creek Trail, and the Black Balsam Knob are also minutes away. 23 miles up the road, you'll find the Cataloochee Ski Area, and you're also in a convenient location near the Great Smoky Mountains, Asheville, and Cherokee.

Due to the age of the house, while there is central AC there are not vents upstairs. Luckily we get some great mountain breezes and the AC downstairs helps cool the house.
